CONTEXT
I originally joined as a Product Design Intern before staying on as a creative freelancer, working closely with the Product Design Lead and Creative Director across a range of clients and projects. Every creator had a different audience, tone of voice and way of communicating, so there was rarely a one-size-fits-all solution. My work ranged from developing creator brand systems and social content to designing digital and physical products from concept through to production.

REFLECTIONS
I enjoyed working across different content creators, especially those I'd watched in the past. I realised how much work goes into launching a physical product, and how even a board game can take years because of how many tiny decisions have to be made.
For the social post designs, I learnt how important tiny elements are, e.g. what background colour you use and the impression this will have. But also knowing when to experiment and understanding that you don't know what will work. Sometimes you think you've established what will perform, and then it doesn't.
For designing social posts, it seems like half following what works and half experimentation, and adjusting how much of each you do accordingly.
I also learnt that different clients like to work in different ways, e.g. some give high levels of creative freedom, while others like to be involved and I was essentially executing their vision. It taught me to respect this, the client's needs, and how involved they wish to be.
